Prof Gold: ** Teaching ** I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Professional Communications Farmingdale State College. So far, I have helped over 50 students see their work published in the local media, from local newsweeklies to the New York Times. ** Scholarship ** PhD candidate, Old Dominion University (2021), Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse Studies. ** Technology ** I have worked in IT for over 30 years, mostly as a technical writer, but early on I had worked as an Office Automation Specialist, an Analyst, and a Project Manager. Before entering IT I spent five years as a consumer electronics buyer.
